Pros

Pay is decent Really good amount of PTO Room for career growth

Cons

Wants to be a tech company, but still acts like an insurance company. Much of the management layer is UHC veterans with no real knowledge of tech, and it shows Company has grown by constant acquisition and is now a potpourri of healthcare-adjacent enterprises that have little to no synergy with each other Company makes too much money with the current state of healthcare and has no incentive to take big risks and “fix healthcare”

Pros

Work life balance is pretty good, no overtime in my area allowed so my hours are strict and I don’t have to worry about working on weekends. Schedule was flexible and permanent work from home is great! I’ve been here 12+ years so PTO accrual is nice.

Cons

Pay- 12+ years and only at $20ish an hour and so many newbies get hired on at more than me, which is frustrating. It’s really hard to figure out getting more money because raises are horrible at UHG. Micro management- some of the micromanagement is over the top, especially with the some of the systems used to watch your production. Layoffs seem to happen yearly, multiple times a year, as they constantly try to offshore positions so lately having to worry about that seems to be more of a worry than normal,
