Pros

I loved the work culture and talented people. I always had flexible timings and my leadership was performance oriented. They have acquired a lot of great assets over the years. Travel and general benefits are great in Oracle. As they say, 'Larry will pay (LWP)'. Few companies have such liberal policies. This is great because for a few bucks more, people offer much more productivity in return.

Cons

There is too much old technology and old thinking in the company. This is holding them back from making great products. The tech process is so slow that you don't really see any impact of being there unless you stick around for a decade!

Pros

Initial salary often competitive, good benefits, flexible work hours, ability to work at home, some smart co-workers, opportunities to do interesting projects if you learn how to work the system

Cons

Dilbertesque bureaucracy, wages stagnant even for star employees (10-year veterans can make less than new entry level hires reporting to them), excellence not rewarded, some departments choked with deadwood, pervasive mediocrity
