Pros

Collaborative environment. People jump in to help. Leadership has big ambitions.

Cons

They talk about culture, yet it's more cultish. Long-time employees are rewarded and put first, always. Leadership makes snap decisions about people and without conversion, terminates those who don't do it the old way. They talk about change, yet they undermine new hires to stay the same as they were years ago, especially in product.

Pros

Culture People Experience Opportunity to grow your skills and move on to a higher paying place Overall it is a fairly standard SaaS company. You are going to get all the bells and whistles that a majority of tech companies have in terms of culture and goodies. Lots of young people, so will be a great opportunity to network and build relationships.

Cons

Corporate Politics Some issues with sexism Zero Diversity Origami used to be one of the very best companies to work for, but they have become much more of a traditional corporate company than the fun tech company. You will be underpaid for the value you are bringing! Compensation is far from transparent, and they are more than happy to "make things up" then pay you based off of your performance review/ the work you are doing. Less merit based, and more experience/politics based in terms of promotion and salary increase. An analyst right out of college can very well be doing the exact work as a "Senior" but would get paid much worse! There were a number of instances of sexism when I worked there, and nothing was done about it from leadership or HR. Not quite the toxic "ol boys club," but far from the progressive liberal company they like to pretend to be.

Pros

-Seem to care about work life balance and people being overworked. -Growth Company that will do really well in the next 3-10 years. Especially on their Core Insurance side. -Lots of changes happening right now, most seem for the better. (The company is trying to shift from that Startup mindset to a big company) -Will double in size by the end of the year. -Nice Yearly Bonus.

Cons

My experience has been opposite what I have seen here in the reviews. -Very Little Onboarding Training -Horrible Internal Job Politics -Flat Company so mostly Lateral Movement -Communication issues between the Dev Leads. -Anyone on the service team was slammed and their help only came in small bits of info. -Some of their roles are not completely defined so often another persons work may get pushed onto you.
