Pros

Good pay. Good benefits.

Cons

This branch used to be a great team environment. It has become a very impersonal place to work. They press on showing the value of our work, yet fail to Express the value of employee morale. Everyone in the branch is treated as replaceable. When employees are leaving to lower paying jobs, it shows the employees are looking for value.

Pros

Good benefits for self (not for families). Retirement plan, and other employee benefits

Cons

Family benefits very expensive. Schedulers not very good at arranging jobs in a logicial order. I spent over half the day driving from one end of the bay area to the other end and I lived in Sacramento.

Pros

Technical training is great, sales training was ok but not great since you don't learn how to fill out correct agreements which can hinder your sales.

Cons

Constant pressure to schedule appointments with these list that are not updated. Use to work for a competitor and they had schedulers who made regular appointments and reinspections all we had to do is go run the appointments. Here at Orkin so much focus is on calling these customers I don't feel we get enough selling time because we end up on the phone all day calling hustling for appointments. I feel they need to update the sales process and not rely so much to the inspector.
