      Poor and unsupportive HR and career services team. Old nurses eat their young!!

      Pros

      Easy to get hired as a new grad from nursing school. Recruiting is very eager to hire new grads. Slightly higher starting pay for GNs.

      Cons

      Once you become an employee the support disappears. HR and career services never return phone calls and/or emails. Managers side with HR and rarely fight for their staff. Organization doesn’t foster a positive learning environment for new nurses. Nurses eat their young and management does nothing to put a stop to this. If anything, it is encouraged. It’s easy to get lost in the system.

      Organization has changed for the worse

      Pros

      For healthcare it is an excellent organization. Overall Benefits are good and in the actual healthcare facilities and physician practices the team members want to do a good job and support each other. The organization is expanding under David Strong and Bernadette Spong and has become financially sound.

      Cons

      Human Resources areas are a complete disaster. The turn over within Human Resources is unbelievable yet nobody in senior leadership seems concerned. Tenured employees have left and still no action is taken. The team member survey results for Human Resources were not good and still not notice or action is taken. Employees try to express serious concerns and still no action is taken. Many years ago I was proud to say I worked in Human Resources at Orlando Health but that is no longer the case.
