Pros

The line level employees are wonderful people. They are caregivers that truly care about me and about the patients that they ultimately serve. New senior management really gets it, and is slowly transforming the business into a patient-centric organization with modern highly developed management approaches.

Cons

Old-guard IT management has little technical skill, and rely on line-level developers to make big-picture IT decisions (because they have no ability to do so) while not informing those same developers of the organizational impact of those decisions.

Pros

Management lets employees work without hovering over them. The hospital does a great job for the community at large. You feel that you make a difference in patients lives.

Cons

Little promotion for individual of diverse backgrounds. It takes twice as long and as hard for individuals who are Black or Hispanic to get promoted or recognized.
