This company used to be a good place to work for. About 10 years ago they decided to try to be more corporate. They succeeded as work became boring, new employees hired to make the environment more corporate would make work more boring and difficult. They hired the typical stooges above people that really had no skill but knew how to talk the talk. People are chosen for certain bonuses, turkeys at Thanksgiving, etc and then are told to be quiet about receiving something. They owner makes you open your bonus check right in front of him, if you're lucky enough to get one. Bonuses if given are normally very small compared to any real company. That wasn't a big deal when it was a family environment, but now you have a boring terrible corporate environment without the normal corporate rewards. Management is the fifth generation and they have no idea what they are doing. They make all the wrong decisions and allow certain long time employees make all the decisions. You have a Scrapyard Manager that is allowed to make decisions normally left to HR, like salary increases, bonuses, etc. Same manager has been caught discriminating on racial and gender biases.
