Co-workers are awesome. New "People First" initiative has gone a long way toward making Oshkosh a preferred employer. Let's not forget about those trucks? THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Not too many jobs afford the pride of building vehicles that save the lives of so many troops. I know that I will rest a little easier as my wife gets deployed knowing that she will be riding around the sand box in an Oshkosh.

Cons

Very high paced environment that can be extremely demanding. If you can't think on your feet or handle high stress situations then this company is not for you.

Pros

The culture has shifted to an environment that puts people first, offering more flexibility and understanding of our lives outside of the office. Employees are no longer considered just a number but, rather, an important asset of the company. There are many growth opportunities for people who are ambitious, hard-working, and can think outside of the box to get a job done. It is a great feeling to know that we are producing vehicles that are helping to bring our warfighters safely home to their families.

Cons

It is a fast-paced environment - always busy, no off-season. The corporation has grown tremendously over the past few years; now with world-wide locations. It is not the small, local company it used to be where everyone knew everyone.
