Pros

Mission-first mindset: Ossium Health is deeply committed to improving human health and longevity, and you can feel that purpose in day-to-day work. Innovative science & technology: The company is doing cutting-edge work in bioengineering and cell therapy. It’s an exciting space to be in. Collaborative culture: Teams are supportive, smart, and driven. There’s a good balance between high performance and genuine kindness. Growth opportunities: As the company scales, there’s a lot of room for career development and taking on new responsibilities. Strong leadership: Transparent, approachable, and aligned with long-term goals. Leadership genuinely cares about the people here. Meaningful work: You leave each day knowing that what you’re doing has the potential to save lives.

Cons

Fast-paced startup environment — not the place for someone who prefers strict structure or slow change. Some growing pains as systems and processes are still being optimized. Limited resources in some areas (typical for startups), so you have to be comfortable wearing multiple hats. Compensation doesn't always keep up with the high cost of living in the area, especially for roles based in cities like San Francisco. It would be great to see more alignment between pay and living expenses as the company continues to grow.

Pros

There are many reasons I love working for Ossium, but the one that stands out is that our work has the potential to make an incredible positive impact on health outcomes and health equity. Bone marrow transplantation can be a life-saving procedure, but there's still a major issue with access to bone marrow, especially for patients of color. Ossium's vision has the potential to save lives and reduce this health disparity, and I'm super proud to be part of the important work we're doing. Ossium is also an amazing environment for learning. We attract incredibly smart, dedicated, and creative individuals, and I learn from my colleagues on a daily basis. We have a wide variety of projects we're working on at any given time, so there's always something new to learn and rarely a dull moment.

Cons

Parking in SF is expensive and traffic is really bad on some days. For employees that don't have an alternative method of transportation (BART, bike, walk, etc.), commuting to the office in SF can be rough.
