Pros

The biggest pro is the people here. Everyone at Oversight is hardworking, smart, funny, and kind, which means social events and breakroom discussions are always nice. In my 5+ years here, Oversight has also grown tremendously and is continuing to do so. There is a sense of a positive trajectory that everyone in the office feels. I have personally had a lot of opportunity to advance in my career at Oversight.

Cons

Oversight positions itself as a bit more of a "startup" culture than it is. There is no work-from-home policy, and it is frowned upon by upper management. The organization is very hierarchical and not very transparent or receptive to input.

Pros

Is there a better group of people to work with? I’m convinced there isn’t. We have a pool of some of the brightest, nicest, funniest people, and they’re honestly the best part of working at Oversight. Separate from that, we’re building something really cool here. Our products are already making a lasting impact on some of the largest companies in the world, and we’re only getting better.

Cons

Currently, there isn’t a company-wide option for employees to work from home. Some managers allow this for their teams while others aren’t as generous.

Pros

The culture is really the biggest pro. When I came in for my interview and walked through the office, people actually made eye contact and smiled. It was a pleasant change from what I was used to and the other organizations I was interviewing with. I knew it was a good sign and I was right. I have never worked in an environment that is so friendly. The CEO has worked hard to establish values, such as transparency and integrity, that have taken root. He's an all-around class act as is our CFO and VP of Marketing. Everyone from the C-suite and beyond has taken time to answer my questions and help educate me about the industry and our products. I had honestly forgotten what it's like to be treated like a valued employee until joining this organization. Another pro is that our business is exciting and our products are leading edge. We work with some of the world's largest companies. It's thrilling to attend our weekly Monday morning meetings and learn about the Fortune 1000 companies that have signed on as customers. There's always good conversation in the break room and ample coffee. It's a great way to start each day. I didn't realize how much I'd missed having a nice work family.

Cons

There isn't the option to work remotely. I really miss having this flexibility. Even working remotely just one day a week would help as commuting in Atlanta can be soul crushing. Plus, the open office environment is loud and can impede progress especially when projects require extreme focus.
