Cons

They don't care about the employees. Terrible leadership and management. HR is fake and not approachable. Controversial culture and mission. At least they don't dismiss pregnant women.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm so sorry that you didn't have a good experience at Ovia. Since November, we have come a long way! One of the biggest changes is that we brought on an entire Operations team, including an HR person, who are dedicated to improving employee experience company-wide. We have also made some impressive leadership team hires who are pushing us to the next level and stepping up our management game! In addition, our manager training and development programs have become (and continue to grow) more robust. We are excited about the growth we've seen within the organization throughout 2019, and continue to maintain an ongoing, open feedback loop to make sure we are meeting everyone's needs!

Not as bad or great as others say

Pros

Benefits are good, people are smart and general good at their jobs.

Cons

The founders do need to let go a little. HR isn't always transparent. Some employees need to realize this isn't an internship, they need to be responsible and own things.

Thanks for your comments! We have received a lot of feedback about our lack of transparency, and have been very intentional about sifting through that feedback and attacking the problem at its root. There have been several programs put into place to make sure employees feel that they're being heard and that they are in the loop!

Pros

People and the culture are absolutely the best. Mission driven. You hear how their products help users almost on a daily basis.

Cons

You can expect your desk moved every six months if not more frequently. What’s up with that? They move people around to optimize teams, but at some point too much moving is distracting.
