Pros

This company has a long history of profitability. Many great opportunities if you have the support of management team. Multiple locations across the country.

Cons

Strong good old boy club. Minorities and women need not apply for anything outside of a hourly position. Outdated information systems, change management non existent, poor family and work balanace. Training programs inept, workers morale is very low but most have been there too long to leave. Toxic atmosphere..............

Pros

I had the privilege of befriending some of the most generous and kind hearted people I ever met at PACCAR--they long since retired. I believe Mark Pigott is doing his best to keep the company afloat and moving forward. I don't know too many people who volunteers to decline a bonus that was well over 7 figures.

Cons

Pay is a bit light for the worker bees. Promotions are few and far between but work never stops. There are two kinds of people there--fresh out of college or soon to be retirees. The juniors level staff are too young to know better or they know this it is a good stepping stone job. The soon-to-be retiree level staff are just counting the days waiting to get their pension and move to warmer climate. Lots and lots of gold bricking...

Pros

Benefits are ok. Used to be better but with the economy cuts were made. Pension is still good. 401K matching is good when not cut.

Cons

No support from management at all for lower level employees. No growth opportunities. No promotions ever (16+ years = no promotions). No recognition for a job well done. ITD goals are not in touch with reality. Company does not keep up with new technology unless forced (and company bills itself as a Technology Company that builds trucks). Outdated equipment for office staff (10 yr old PCs etc).
