Pros

Ideal for new dentists fresh out of school, minimum guarantee. Hygienists can make a surprising amount of money. High tech.

Cons

You will get fired. Specialists, dentists and hygienists have goals for everything, and they don't keep you around if you don't reach them. Office managers also have budgets to reach, but there are a lot of uncontrollables. Lack of ethics is shocking. Patients are always upsold, and looked down upon if they opt for lower price options. Benefit coordinators are sales people, very high pressure. Regional manager has no leadership training, manages by fear, is bossy and top-down. Only a few office managers reach goals and bonus, which makes most of them underpaid and overworked. Because everyone is on a bonus system, everyone is greedy. Employees high-five each other when a patient starts treatment at a high price. High-fives all around again when a "tooth ache" makes an appointment. (Yikes). Company has "biblical" values- don't be fooled. Those values, repeated ad nauseam every morning, are not lived. Employees are kept in the dark, not much information is shared. People are pulled from offices and sent to work elsewhere without notice.

Pros

Lots of cutting edge technology

Cons

PDS Health is plagued with a toxic leadership in every department at every level. This company sucks good people in claiming to be a company with strong culture / beliefs but their culture is nothing more than meeting room posters/wallpaper that is routinely violated and manipulated to justify PDS Health's leadership incompetence . It is an unfortunate reality that SR. Leadership screams and yells at their team in meetings and I have personally seen too many of my co-workers brought to tears by the abusive behavior that has become normalized by PDS. When clear undeniable evidence of abuse is documented and HR complaints are filed against abusive leaders PDS's HR team strategy is to get the abused team member to quit/resign instead of addressing the toxic abusive leadership behavior and protecting the abused from mistreatment. Retaliation, Rage, Favoritism, Ego and Nepotism are common qualities shared by most PDS leaders. If you decide to stand up to this toxic culture and insist the PDS culture advertised is upheld the abuse will not only continue but actually get worse and worse until you wise up and find a new job. If you want to work in a professional environment and be treated like a professional or even just treated like a human RUN away from this toxic place.

Disingenuous leaders

Pros

Some solid systems and processes

Cons

They turned over nearly an entire department of recruiters/university recruiting team after bringing in two new leaders with no experience. It's sad that their leader cares more about looking like she made a sad, cheap call than the 30 dedicated people the new guys ran off. The new guys have a philosophy of finger pointing at operations and throwing out disingenuous stats. Not that they could actually pull the stats, they are only concerned with taking credit for the work others do because they're not capable of anything close to actual work. Lots of empty words, zero working. The leader had the audacity to create a self-serving post on LinkedIn about people taking care of people...lacks the self awareness to realize we all know that it was after yet another direct report resigned. He's all about himself. They say they're the best and they are definitely not. Most of the people I know have left feeling jaded or mistreated at a minimum.

We appreciate your feedback. We'd like to address your comment on our leaders having no experience. Our Recruiting Director has nearly 30 years of experience in recruiting and our Sr. Director joined us as a Regional Director with a background in dental over 10 years ago and has been instrumental in building our Leadership and Organizational Development department. As the Sr. Director of Recruiting, he has turned our recruiting department into a streamlined powerhouse in just 18 months. Staff turnover happens when big changes are implemented, but overall, it has been a positive experience. The recruiting department is exceeding all goals just three months into the new year. We like to give credit where credit is due and think they deserve their fair share when it comes to the improvements to the department.
