Pros

- The company starts you off at a decent salary. - Major Holidays off along with weekends (assuming you don't work for ROC and your department is not behind) along with an open environment in national support. - Big on charities and volunteer work. - There is room for a little movement up in career.

Cons

- PDS preaches these we believes like it's a new religion, yet they never follow through with it. It's all just a dog and pony show until you see the stuff behind the scenes. - Employees who worked there for years and helped build them to where they are now are viewed as expendable in terms of treatment, compensation, and career advancement. New employees/managers are hired on and given high salaries while others who worked hard for years hardly see even a dollar. - Upper management and their egos are running rampant along with being "corporate". - Work politics and red tape everywhere! An example is an employee from the ROC cannot even get a chance to go to another department because ROC management will prevent any of that. They would rather have the employee quit than for them to help the company in other ways. It's pathetic and has gone on for awhile, but PDS allows that behavior to occur within their management. - The company tries to push this religious agenda yet the practice they do with the way they view employees and patients is garbage. - People do not trust HR because they will always backup management and never resolve the issue which is why upper management is always there and never reprimanded. - PDS also pushing for retail managers to become the office managers which means more sales pushing instead of actual genuine dental care for patients. In the end, it's all about the money.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. Your feedback is important and we take it to heart. We regret that your experience with Pacific Dental Services was not as rewarding as we would have liked it to be. In addition to striving for excellence in supporting and developing PDS-supported dentists, it’s also our goal to provide our employees with opportunities to develop with PDS. As you know, our company has grown exponentially over the last few years. This type of explosive growth can often yield growing pains. Through our daily huddles, regular meetings, and company-wide communications, we strive to ensure employees feel connected and empowered so that they can continue to grow with the company. While we attempt to meet the needs of all our team members, we recognize there are still challenges for us to connect with each and every employee as fully as we’d like. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion here. Your feedback is an opportunity for us to evaluate and improve, so that we can do more to ensure our team members feel valued and appreciated.

Pros

Good dental benefits. Travel to headquarters for training was fun and informative.

Cons

Poor employee training, no effort to ensure Operations Managers or other team members are prepared to execute their role effectively before throwing them in at the deep end. Chronic understaffing. Minimal benefits including only 7 days of PTO in your first year of employment.
