The themes of the tons of other negative glassdoor reviews are all true, but I think it can be boiled down to this: PEAK6 does not care about their employees, despite making a big deal over how much they do. Read back to reviews from early 2016 - you'll see a bunch of glowingly ones in the middle of tons of negative. The reason is that PEAK6 felt concerned about their employer brand image, and instead of paying attention to the poor reviews and finding ways to address the concerns (low pay, poor management/leadership, limited career progression, lack of transparency) - they asked all current employees to please write reviews - "positive or negative" - but positioned in the context of needing to improve the GD image. This is representative of everything that is wrong with PEAK6 - until upper management starts listening and taking real, meaningful action, nothing will change. Actions speak louder than words, and employees will invariably lose faith in this broken system.
