Pros
Smart people, diversity of businesses (could be a con depending…) fast paced.
Cons
The environment is chaotic, constant change (although they like to spin this as an advantage, when it's nothing more than confusion, mismanagement (and micromanagement) of people, processes, and businesses. Consistent misalignment and turnover among leadership, zero goals/planning and a desire to be on the cutting edge, when all they do is push people over it with their nonsensical behavior and rhetoric. Politics and the amount of layers are out of control. Sure, as you get larger and scale, more structure is needed, but all you see is useless middle management that can't seem to get out of the way.. They tout transparency when in reality you're left in the dark, with decisions made behind your back. Know your place and keep your head down. Oh, and expect below average pay with fake performance review measures and processes... Zero empowerment and a facade of opportunity and growth as you can move between businesses and "take ownership." Very few are successful and those that are (or think they are) have likened themselves to "yes" men/women who know what happens when you push back, ask questions, and are the least bit curious...if you like drinking the kool-aid and becoming a robot, this might be the best place for you. Sad to see so many talented employees leave, while dead weight hangs around..they don't care about feedback or taking accountability for anything. you'll simply be replaced and they will find someone else who they can "sell" their story to for the short-term until the cycle repeats itself.... With each review and employee that leaves, the mentality is very much "it's you" not us...zero humility, vulnerability or desire to listen and be better.
