Pros

When I worked here, years ago, there were a good group of people - who sadly have all gone.

Cons

Not surprising that the same issues that plague Peak6 today are the ones that plagued the company 5y, 10y, heck - forever. 1. Too much fluff and PR - no authencity 2. Pulls levers to make themselves into something they are not - not DEI forward, low pay, toxic culture, abuse-right from the top, zero leadership etc. 3. Cares more about promoting an image then actually executing to attain that image 4. Backwards and behind the times 5. The aspirational stories by the founders seem to evolve on a yearly basis. Would not be surprised, if we hear, they invested in Apple's Series A. This stuff gets old after a while and the self promoting is a big sign on insecurity

Pros

Not having to work at this place.

Cons

A complete mess of a place. Enter a business via acquisition, fire people, fix a few things, call it entrepreneurial, spin the failure, sell. Repeat. Not able to create any new businesses because resources are never allocated or available. Ownership is surrounded by sycophants and lifers. Trading biz has been trying to get away from single stock options for like 5 years with no success or plan. Apex can't even service their own trading biz let alone provide any institutional services. The problem here is the toxic workplace, lack of leadership, lack of strategic plans, zero introspection, running like a chicken with their heads cut-off. Those of us with entrepreneurial roots, call it CRAZY.
