PEI is leading provider of specialist market coverage and analysis for alternative asset class investors and fund managers. Given the velocity of capital into these asset classes and the characteristics of the firms and individuals who lead the superlative growth in these investment markets, we recognise that our editorial remit is highly challenging. If you found a mundane low paying financial news reporting job here, I don't know where in our group that was. We've more than eighty folks in NY., MD. and CA as well as other locations across the US, proud of the quality of our market coverage and excited to be part of a fast growing, editorially-driven company. Best wishes in your next role. Tim McLoughlin CEO.

Thank you for taking the time to comment here. Like a lot of companies, our pay structures develop as experience, capability, skill-levels develop during time spent in the company. We welcome college leavers right across the group - in sales, marketing, events production, editorial, finance and research/analytics. We believe that our salaries are market-competitive but as well as that, we believe that this strong-growth, future-focused company offers a work environment and an energetic culture with a lot of opportunities for people. I appreciate that Glassdoor doesn't allow for a more private discussion - but would love it if you could find a way to let me know what you mean by 'difficult to trust management'. You will see elsewhere that I am clear about the fact that we're a 'work in progress' and there will always be stuff to do to make this the best business it can be. You can help too if you come and find me - or perhaps Judy in HR - and let me know what this 'trust' comment is all about. Best. Tim McLoughlin CEO.

Pros

- Excellent location in new lovely offices with open spaces – definitely an upgrade. - CEO promotes transparency and open door policy. - The company is expanding and currently counts with offices in London, New York and Hong Kong – Good time to join.

Cons

- Some managers are filling these positions for the first time. Although they might have good industry knowledge, they lack experience, confidence and people’s skills for the level of responsibility they hold. - Some teams work way much more than others. Although noticed, it gets ignored. No lieu days offered when travelling on the weekend or working long hours on business demand. - There is no in-house HR team which makes some situations very awkward. - Although the company culture is good, your experience will depend on who is your manager, as in many other jobs, I guess.

Thank you for your commentary on your experience at PEI. PEI continues to build and grow as a company and we're not getting everything right yet. Its correct that some of our group leaders and managers need support and training as we grow. 2019 has seen us invest in group HR and one of the objectives of our HR leader is to consider our requirements for training and development of our management cohort. This is in train and I expect to be able to commence with a rolling programme shortly. We're also currently recruiting to add further HR resource because we recognised the need to invest in this area - again to support us as a we grow. I trust you will be able to notice the change either now or shortly. Recognising that Glassdoor isn't the place for a private conversation, I do appreciate your comments here and would welcome you to come and talk to me about any views you have that can help us make this an even better business. Thanks. Tim McLoughlin CEO.
