Pros

Benefits are decent. Free parking.

Cons

Was a great company to work for until new IT management came in. Timelines are unrealistic and managers are continually disrespectful to the employees.

Pros

The people I work with are great, they make it bearable.

Cons

The whole place is a mess: 1. If you like to work holidays (New Year's, MLK, etc.) this is your place. It turns out the new COO, who worked for DARCARS, is looking to run the place like a car dealership. 2. Managers don't care, thought they might tell you otherwise. Even if you are sick or have a death in the family, they expect you to show up, or risk being fired. And then they argue that they do your job, when you are not present...when i reality they sit in their offices looking for hair extensions/acrylic nails on Amazon. 3. Underpaid and overworked, since the turn rate is so high, employees are expected to wear multiple hats, yet - not be compensated for the additional duties (it's a win win for them, they get more out of you and pay you less). You don't really have lunches, you might be asked to stop your lunch and assist members, failure to do so will result in disciplinary actions. Summary: BUNCH of HYPOCRTIES! If you like working holidays, getting paid bare minimums, and overworked - go for it! PenFed is an excellent organization, that borders on shady business and law (wages/breaks) violations in the states of Maryland and Virginia, and DC.
