Pros
I joined the copy team three years ago when there were around 12 writers. Today, it’s double that. Such fast growth means the progression opportunities are definitely there if you’re willing to work hard. I’ve never worked for a company where a manager is so well-liked by a team, and that’s because he’s just as involved as we are. You’ll never have to think twice about asking him anything. In terms of workload, we write for a global market across almost every sector, so there’s always something new. With well-structured training sessions for new starters, everybody is given the support to make the best first impression. And one of my favourite things is that individual achievements are shared with the whole team, and everyone is genuinely happy for one another’s successes.
We also have something called PH Perks, which means we get the morning off the day after our birthday, free gym membership after two years, free fruit, tea and coffee and there’s an in-office bar. We’re also treated to two annual company events – the Christmas party and Summer Soiree – both of which are an absolute highlight and always incredible!
Overall, I’d say it’s the perfect place for an ambitious copywriter to nurture their skills and be part of a very talented team.
Cons
A hardworking ethos and values like ‘irrational commitment’ are not for everyone, but putting in the extra effort never goes unnoticed.
