Pros

You can actually make good money if you grind. Youthful and high energy work environment as well.

Cons

The $35k base is way low given the fact that you need to put in time at home to prospect every night. You work in office from 8-5 and then typically 1-2 additional (unpaid) hours at home prospecting. At minimum, they should be paying in the $40k's in base if they're going to have you prospect at home. As for the rest of the job, you are simply dialing the phone. That is it. That is your only job. Personally, I left relatively quickly because I found something where I could also manage the business/clients that I develop instead of just dialing for 8 hours/day. Finally, potentially the biggest con is that if performance is lackluster management's response is to use threatening language toward their sales teams.

Pros

Company parties 2-3 times a year- they are a lot of fun and always at nice hotels. Location and new office space were nice, had a great view.

Cons

Salary is a measly $35 K with no negotiation. No increase or raise has even been given unless you become Head of Sales. Salary is the same for an MDE and a Team leader, despite there being a lot of additional responsibility and stress in the TL role. Upper management likes to use fear mongering and constant threats to get salespeople to perform better. Threats came verbally and via email, saying that you could be replaced if you don’t hit your numbers with someone who can. Upper management was unprofessional at times and used negative reinforcement to get MDEs to produce. It was not uncommon to see an MDE get fired or let go 3-4 times a month. You do not get paid enough for how much work you do at the office as well as at home.
