Pros

Excellent Learning experience Great training - learning from the best in Fixed Income Exposure to the biggest clients Brilliant people very high caliber, kind and supportive Excellent culture - great mix of fun and seriousness

Cons

hard to get into portfolio management, limited ability to influence asset allocation decisions - strong top-down heave investment culture

Pros

The company has a great reputation in the market and I work with some of the smartest people I have ever worked with. Not only that but compared to an investment bank the people are also really nice! It is a great place to work with a strong corporate culture. The firm is very client orientated and prides itself on its level of service

Cons

The portfolio managers are very focussed on the running of portfolios and so can be difficult to tie down to meetings! You also need to be wary of cultural differences in terms of the European vs American work habits.
