Employee owned has been thrown out the window, and the company is under a new owner. Workflow is incredibly unsteady. You can have people in charge of areas disappear within seconds, take periodic and self appointed breaks throughout the day, followed by spending more time spinning tales of work rather than achieving it. Double standards and lack of proper communication everywhere. Rumors and backstabbing: no matter what you do, someone is talking about you, so keep everything you say or do work related. Don't try to fit in with the cultures or values that exist beneath the glossy surface because it will drag you down. Stay in your work area unless needed. Don't become a back scratcher because the times you stop scratching are the times that get remembered.
