The managers I have met don't care about their employee's. You will never hear "good job," "thanks for working on your day off." "Nice job dealing with that irate client," Nothing. It's like being in high school where the bully is in charge and rules through intimidation and lies.
The pay is horrible, and they will keep you on as a "seasonal" worker so they don't have to give raises, pay holiday pay, or benefits.
They will imply that if you don't speed, as a driver, that you won't keep your job.
They work you 14 hours a day in summer and then you are lucky to get 20 hours a week in winter. They will also expect you to work over 14 hours a day to finish your route even though it's illegal.
The training is awful, two weeks if you're lucky, to operate a machine that has no breaks, is poorly maintained, and can be incredibly dangerous. Oh, and if you break anything....another reason for no pay raise and more intimidation.
Everyone I have worked with was miserable and looking for work. No team atmosphere, just beaten down folks.
