Pros

Pay exceeds job requirements. Room to grow and move around. Good sized company. Enough that you can make an impression or just work and collect a paycheck.

Cons

Schedules are not very flexible, attendance policy could be considered outrageous. The company often hires agent that have sales experience but do not have the emotional capacity to sell on a day to day basis and deal with the stress of life, sales expectations, inter-office politics. This however is not the companies fault. They hire people that likely assure the hiring supervisor that they never miss work, they work great under pressure, they have never had an issue meeting sales goals in the future...then the leave training and do the exact opposite and wonder why they are searching for an outlet to slander a company that gave them an opportunity. Sales is and should be cut throat. The New England Patriots are notorious for cutting players before they're considered 'not an asset anymore'. Business is business. I'd rather work with a company that knows when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em instead of putting the company at risk. Is it true that some good people got let go? Yes. Is it true that some did nothing wrong? Yes. Is it true that most people that got fired/laid off had a huge part in the companies decision? Absolutely. Are you a sales person or do you want to appear to be a sales person? Sales is a state of mind; an attitude. It's not for everyone.

Pros

Fun and dynamic Company with a true focus on the employee and creating a comfortable work environment for all employees. The Human Resources Department is always recognizing/rewarding employees and Departments for achievements both small and great. During the "busy season" (March - October), there are weekly/fun promotions and incentives from root beer floats to dress down days, i.e., "beach day", flip flop day, etc. There are monthly Town Hall meetings for all employees and quarterly "Socials". There are hiring initiatives which bring in "Seasonal" employees to assist with the busy season demands of our Clients. Each "Seasonal" employee is given equal opportunity to convert to a full-time employee with benefits with reasonable performance. It has been my experience that most disgruntled employees were hired "seasonally" and decided to get serious about their "conversion" to full-time status, once the clock had already run out for them. Seasonal employees who have 1.) come to work, 2.) provided high quality sales/service and 3.) exemplified professional behavior have had NO difficulty whatsoever being offered a full-time position which is the goal of this Employer! In my 2 years with PODS, it has been my experience that the employees voicing dissatisfactoin with our Employer base their feelings solely on their own willingness to 1.) come to work, and 2.) perform according to reasonable standards PODS has the most liberal attendance policy I've ever seen. Unfortunately, because it is liberal, some employees take advantage of the system and leave what they think is a reaonsble "cushion" for emergencies. When these emergencies do in fact occur, in most cases, the employee's cushion is not sufficient. At a minimum, PODS is 100% fair and consistent in its Employee practices.

Cons

In a cyclical industry, it is sometimes difficult to predict the staffing levels of our Call Center and not all special requests can be honored on a daily basis. The nature of our business relies on our Call Centers (3) and staffing during business hours is priority #1. Any employee with any sort of Call Center experience is aware of the conformance/adherence measurements that are in place.

Pros

You got a free pen.

Cons

The owner times everything you do.He works out on Google how long it should take for each delivery,to the minute. He micro manages every minute you are on duty. Hes a control freak. You dont know how long you are going to work each day cos he sends you home at anytime. Its a joke. Example: you work one hour,he says thats all i have for you today,go home. The equipment is very dangerous. It should be a two man operation and anyone operating should hold a hydraulic licence.Health and safety is non existant. If you go work there be very carefull, you could easily be seriously injured. Lots of drivers leaves, says it all.
