Pros

Absolutely no Pros what so ever!

Cons

Okay where to begin, Pride one list itself as a minority owned company and Prides itself (no pun intended) on diversity and inclusion however, they either make conditions completely unfavorable to where the minority Talent has no choice but to resign or they release minority Talent no less than a year or a little over a year within the last 4+ years. They horribly isolate their minority talent and have no inclusion whatsoever. Pride tries to preach a culture of inclusion to the public, however I've never seen such modern but segregation in my life to the point where I felt I was back in the 50's-60's. For the job itself unless you've been with the company for more than 5 years or are not a minority, Pride either puts their employees in situations where they have absolutely no chance of success within the company nor do they offer the tools for success. I was hired on the premise of being able to flourish and work hand in hand with my colleagues in an inclusive environment where I can be myself, however it was the complete opposite. I've never seen lack of professionalism on on this scale in Corporate America. If this was the last job on Earth I still would not recommend this company, I'm in shock to even understand how this company is still in operations with the type of treatment that they can conduct to their employees. I ask anyone who applies to this company to do a deep dive and see for themselves what companies like this are really about.

Pros

This company has hired some amazing people over the years and the bond that you can build with colleagues will last beyond your tenure with the company. Since management is the blind leading the blind, even those with low levels of qualification in their roles can earn a “Pride premium” aka above market salary compensation in exchange for loyalty, tolerating incompetence, or playing politics. I heard that the Nespresso machine at HQ is pretty sweet too… I’m sure it will be fixed any day now.

Cons

This is not an environment that is pro-women. If it wouldn’t be socially unpalatable, the CEO would have already terminated its existing Maternity Leave policy as he deems it “an objective failure in terms of ROI.” In the Search & Staffing business, there are no women in senior leadership. Nothing is too low for these people – even firing someone undergoing breast cancer treatment. Public berating is a common motivational, or de-motivational, tool. They are rarely based on the materiality of someone’s mistake, and are generally just the CEO embellishing a scenario to use against someone that is out of favor. I wouldn’t say that someone left every OGP meeting crying, but it was a common enough occurrence to where we developed coping mechanisms and support networks. My personal favorite was when a Managing Director was shouted down in a company-wide town hall that was organized in an attempted to boost morale.

Place is not what it seems

Pros

There aren’t many pros .. I would say the best thing to come from this place was the friendships I made. We got close knowing how bad the company was.

Cons

Where do I begin? The company is under the title of a “Minority Owned Business” … it ain’t true. The CEO is a white man that is a narcissist. There is NO work life balance at this place .. unless your related to the CEO. Culture is toxic .. leadership is so afraid of the CEO who thinks he’s God that they don’t support the workers they manage. This place can’t retain good talent because of how bad of a CEO this company has. He belittles his workers and speaks to them with no respect. He doesn’t care for his workers … he constantly micromanages all his workers … I mean there’s at least 4 cameras in each room .. felt as If I was in a reality tv show. This place made me literally sick … They don’t look to push you career wise, they actively lie to your face .. caught a higher up in a lie TWICE. They don’t compensate you well unless your in with the “cool kids”. Stay away if you can. For your own sake … you don’t want to work for a person that doesn’t cafe for you.. during covid my team was in the office in May.
