Pros

Full time remote when hired, competitive salary and benefits, good culture.

Cons

Lack of promotion opportunities, some management who are ineffective in motivating and developing staff, and a clique environment where who you know strongly influences opportunities to grow and advance.

Pros

During my time in the Pacific Life technology group, I witnessed some impressive strides in innovation and strategy. The launch of the Innovation groups and the development of a forward-looking 5-year strategy showed a clear commitment to aligning with modern times. The company embraces technology evolution and operates with an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) mindset, fostering agility and adaptability. The people are one of the best aspects of this organization—intelligent, collaborative, and committed to driving results. Senior leadership sets a strong example, with a clear vision and willingness to embrace change.

Cons

While top management is excellent, some mid-level management can create unnecessary roadblocks due to internal politics or resistance to change. These issues sometimes hinder the overall momentum and innovation mindset that the company is striving to achieve. Addressing these challenges could take the organization’s potential even further.

Pros

It was a great job with a lot of benefits, I was going through a lot during the end of my employment with them and they were so understanding and allowed me the time I needed! I truly hope to work for PL again in the near future.

Cons

Jobs that could be done remotely are done hybrid to keep ip the company culture. This is fine but it was really hard for me to go in some days.
