      Pros

      We were an acquisition several years ago which brought in new markets and increased business opportunities resulting in a larger footprint and increased volumes.

      Cons

      With being owned by an investment company the primary focus is on the bottom line and savings. This resulted in a number of RIFs over the past year without a reduction in duties. Net result was an increased workload for those that were left. Work/Life balance suffered for most of those remaining at our facility.

      Pros

      A large mix of recognized consumer products with a strong customer base. For hourly associates, pay is decent, the work environment is clean, and the work, itself, is fairly light duty.

      Cons

      Since going from public to private, salaried positions have been slashed across the organization. Productivity and cost reductions have been pushed over quality leaders and improved operations.
