      Poor leadership of Top Management Old axiom to protect friends instead of taking care of the business They treat you as a thief when the layoff happens Didn't fill out positions open for more than 1 year, having people overwhelm HR doesn't care for the people Lack of leadership Supervisors afraid of their employees, due the lack of competency Acquired by a foreign group that only cares about $$$$$$

      If you have patience to get people to use terms / metrics consistently, the latest challenge is not as dark or difficult as it sounds. Get everyone speaking the same language, and you can pretty quickly get the infor / results you are looking for.

      Cons

      Management keeps things too close to the vest. Strategic planning is just whatever it takes to hit the annual plan. Large changes are soft pedalled - trying to save peoples feelings, but everything takes longer than it needs to
