      Pros

      Opportunity to work with upper management and buisness units. Training was very good, the best I had, I learned a lot my time there and I was able to grow my knowledge base.

      Cons

      Reorganization seems to occur ever few years. No stability. I was hired right after a reorganization occured. Then after 2 years Pactiv was going through another one. That is when I decided to look else where. Then I heard recently they are going through another one. Workloads unrealistic for one person.

      Great co workers and each day was different with the challenges of the work load we would have

      Cons

      Upper management doesn't have a clue about what goes on in distribution yet they eliminate positions and expect us to just absorb those loses without any interruptions to servicing customers

      Pros

      Benefits are decent. vacation days are just ok. people are great, have potential to grow into long friendships. convenient shuttle service if you take metra. You can learn a lot if people want to train you. Easy to move to other areas (laterally).

      Cons

      Multiple systems of data due to many acquisitions, require lots of manual data manipulation. lack of standardization in reporting data. Management fire and demote people without proper communication; they also favor certain people from legacy companies. HR is unresponsive to issues and company culture could use some improvement. No training or defined career path. Hard to get promoted since there are not a lot of levels to grow into. you can move into another position easily but it's not a step up. work is often not communicated in a timely manner, and deadlines can be somewhat unreasonable.
