      Stay clear of Hamra Panera

      Pros

      Easy to bond with friendly co-workers. Discount on food. No greasy foods to work with. They provide apron and hat.

      Cons

      Management makes empty promises. They don't want to give over time so they under schedule then overwork the people who are scheduled. They don't give employees many hours so they quit in a short time (very high turn over rate). Never expect a raise. No working a/c (specifically at the one I work at). Lots of drama between management. Hamra is the worst of the Panera's to work for. Stay clear.

      Flexible schedule, easy to move up in the company. District manager and owner constantly in store to supervise.

      Cons

      Making a mistake at panera bread is the end of the world. You'll never live it down no matter how minimal it was. Also, the company only cares about making money. $1.69 for a shot of espresso, really? I'd rather work for a place that cares about people and not the money.

      good food, they give leftovers to charity

      Cons

      Management discourages us from taking 15 minute breaks, that by law we get for every 4 hour shift. If we ask for our break we are not considered to be a team player. If we insist on one, then we get stuck doing dishes the whole shift. If we want a dry apron, we are told that we need to keep the original one dry. How do we do that and wash dishes by hand for hours?
