Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. I’m really glad to hear you appreciate the balance between your work and home life at PaperCut, as well as the other benefits that we offer. I’d also like to thank you for your contribution to the business over the years. I sincerely apologise for the fact that you feel as though your voice isn’t adequately heard across the whole of PaperCut. As you mentioned, these issues have arisen from how leadership and decision making is clarified in PaperCut, which has resulted in the perception of an “in-group” of influential figures across the business. I recognise that PaperCutters have had similar experiences in all of our regions. Increasing our awareness of how decision-making processes affect and are perceived by employees is an ongoing lesson for PaperCut as we scale and change. While these are important areas for improvement, I do believe that we are actively taking responsibility for recognising, investigating, and improving them moving forward. We are doing this through our ongoing DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging) work, the psychological safety program, and the introduction of our new leadership groups with the aim to better define and diversify decision-making. I hope that these steps that we are taking will provide many more opportunities for your voice to be heard and become more influential. I also want to recognise your point about borderline toxic positivity. As ‘Caring’ is one of our core values as a business, we do think it’s vital to celebrate successes and special events as they occur, which may at times contribute to a culture of pressured positivity. Here, as well, we need to find the right balance, and we are dedicated to doing this by bringing attention to the issue, acknowledging that celebrations take many forms and inviting a variety of different communication styles to contribute. We're learning there are various approaches we need to apply to suit a wide range of styles but ultimately do so with good intentions.
