      Great place to start a career in online media.

      Pros

      Great work environment in the NY office, ample opportunity to learn about the online media industry and make contacts both internally and externally. While official training is minimal, being thrown in is a great way to learn quickly. Pretty much everyone is friendly and helpful for the most part.

      Cons

      There are plenty of frustrating inefficiencies that make it difficult to accomplish tasks quickly. Outdated backend systems, layers of bureaucracy, and poorly organized internal data are just a few of the obstacles in your way. I don't see any of these issues being unique to CBS Interactive though.

      Pros

      opportunity for advancement if you play your cards right. lots of holes to fill thus the opportunity. many decisions are made on the fly so this dynamic allows you to provide a lot of input if you can think on your feet

      Cons

      the overall strategy for the company has been lacking for years. in such a fluid environment as entertainment is right now, it leaves the company wanting. the much publicized human resource debacle have played a large role in the decline of morale in this company. because there is less innovation here than there has been in the past talent is declining.

      Pros

      Leading position in numerous interactive content categories. Very large online footprint and platform. Very large broadcast (national TV, Local, TV, Outdoor) platform which allows enormous potential to expand and build online brands.

      Cons

      It's a relatively big organization with extensive and often overlapping initiatives.
