I learned a lot and I really enjoyed the fast pace that was required for my department.

Cons

The ladies in the office were absolutely vicious towards me and each other. Training was never a priority, you are just expected to know how to do everything from day one. The people at the top who matter and really need to know what is going on are not people that I was even allowed to speak to, it's just not really possible to make a complaint that isn't going straight to the desk of the person who causing the problems for people. Lying about other people seems to be a sort of entertainment that many of the girls enjoy, especially the ones that have been there the longest.

Somewhat flexible hours. Used to be great company to work for while it was a locally owned franchised but a complete turnaround and terrible disappointment once it was acquired by Corporate Passport Health.

Cons

Owned & managed by people that don't care about anybody or anything but a bottom line. Ineffective management - not willing to listen to anyone's suggestions or input. Extremely dishonest - smile in your face but turn around and stab you in the back. Also, to boost their Google rating - Management writes some reviews themselves and give themselves a pat on the back with 5 star reviews. I am sure they were the ones to write at least some of the positive reviews on this site. They hire terrible call center staff that make appointments for clients - they do not give people enough info as to how the process works & how much it might cost them so when they show up for an appt - the nurse has to deal with all that, give them poor training & no support to any staff.

More a "sales" job than a "nursing" job

Pros

Flexible hours! No doctors on-site! 10% commission pay! Good opportunity to make $. Low-stress, interesting work! Generally good co-workers and bosses! Clean, modern office spaces in high-profile locations.

Cons

The focus is on selling vaccines and products - making money for the franchise owner. Patients are ambushed into a full hour appointment and often surprised they are paying to sit through an entire consult that's basically a sales pitch. Beware franchise owners trying to squeeze as many appointments into a day as possible and overloading nurses with too much responsibility. Most sites require RNs to "prescribe" medications (that are approved by an offsite provider before going to pharmacy) - this toes the line of scope of practice and carries a lot of liability most RNs aren't okay with taking on.
