Pros

Great work environment with a balance between fun and work. Frequent company events, free lunch on Fridays, extremely friendly, and they pay their interns well. Interns work on the same projects as the full time employees, as a full member of the development team.

Cons

No cons. Absolutely nothing.

Pros

The team. This is passionate team. And everyone pulls for the other. It's a dedicated group. The clients. We have engaged, willing to improve clients. Small things delight them. The product. Patients, clients and staff are 'drinking the kool-aid' and love what we've built. The opportunity. Our team grew 3x in less than a year. Our clients are growing with us. The opportunity to experiment is so high.

Cons

Despite a drive to encourage work/life balance, it's sometimes hard to find. This team is dedicated and sometimes small and you don't want to let them down. We're growing and the additional staff help for sure...but it takes time to get up to speed. We have to make a conscious effort to find our balance (individually and as a team).

Uh oh! Messy

Pros

Access to ATDC, good people, company has tons of potential! The concept for what Patientco has to offer is sound, clients seem to respond well to it.

Cons

Employees are dropping like flies because of poor leadership. There is clearly abuse of developer's time since they seem to work around the clock and are not very happy these days. The development team is made up completely of first time, fresh out of college developers. Not exactly a good strategy for a software company that does billing for hospitals. To make matters worse, the Dir of Engineering was abruptly fired, leaving the team without a leader or mentor, followed by the Dir of User Experience resigning for supposed personal reasons.... needless to say, Product is in shambles. The comapny is struggling to gain any real traction and with the loss of a key operations person, no head of engineering, and 2 developers lost in 2 months, implementations and support are now a real struggle.

Patientco Response

The reviewer makes a valid point, start-ups can be a little messy as they grow. Patientco is no different. We're not perfect but we strive to be the best company we can be. Our leadership team is solid and we all work hard together, but have a lot of fun doing it. We regret that this reviewer has a negative view of Patientco and we respect their opinions. However, we do want to address several incorrect facts: Our Dev Team is young but we believe that youth is a positive, enabling us to take on challenges with fresh ideas. Our Product is solid and has great traction as evidenced by the expanding roster of happy hospitals and patients we serve. And our Leadership continues to develop our reputation as a leader in the healthcare payments marketplace. We are constantly looking for the right people with the right experience to fill roles throughout Patientco as we continue to expand our team. Our focus is on excellence and bringing about a positive change to the healthcare industry.
