Poor leaders and culture

Pros

Central location and nice office if you wish to work from the there and opportunity to work from home.

Cons

A notable decline in the company culture since most recent leaders took over in 2022. The leadership team actively support other toxic leaders despite complaints to HR, who appear either powerless or unwilling to make changes. C-Level are generally invisible and appear incapable in their position, they also come across as untrustworthy when they do share information. Nepotism is the basis for promotion and little to no support for people who don’t fit in with certain peer groups, More of a popularity contest with little value on what you deliver.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, we are fortunate to have a great office and very friendly colleagues. Please do reach out to your manager and / or the People Culture team, we really are more than happy to help you get clarity on your work and the company strategy if this wasn’t clear in our recent All-Hands meetings.

Disappointing.

Pros

Good coworkers (if they stay and choose not to quit) and a decent product.

Cons

Low salary and even lower raises compared to the market. No work life balance. Low vacation days. Favouritism in teams. Disorganized and chaotic management (constant change and reorganization). Huge turn over rates and not much job stability (employees quit often and some are let go). Barely any room to grow.

Thank you for your review. We agree we have great team-mates at PayByPhone and our product is increasingly well-known and liked, especially now (as of May 2022) that we have integrated all of our locations onto one single platform. We have been actively working on the opportunity themes you mention, most especially over 2022 to-date (and more to come); for example, increased vacation to 4 weeks, Remote-First policy effective since the end of May 2022, quarterly All-Hands for collaboration and efficiency, and a global communication slack channel to advertise internal job opportunities and growth. It's through input such as yours, candidate survey responses, new hire surveys, pulse, and employee engagement surveys, and exit interviews, coupled with proactive market research that we continue to improve and so thank you sincerely for your feedback.
