Lots of room to grow

Pros

Central downtown location, smart group of senior programmers, positive culture and team atmosphere. Got to work on meaningful projects. Good work-life balance, never really had to work late hours or weekends. Flexible schedule when needed, allowed to work from home occasionally.

Cons

Progress moves slowly at times. Too many stakeholders require buy-in and approval before being allowed to move forward with any meaningful decisions. Central downtown location means either a long commute or paying astronomical rents nearby.

Pros

If you work in the downtown core it's great. Monday get some fruit for free,

Cons

No room for growth - the company is heading in the wrong direction No innovation - instead of looking what they can make better they ridicule the competiton for trying new things. all teams are siloed - it is impossible to get some teams to work together due to a manager who refuses to interact with others. Old school meets new school- Everyone there is either been there forever or less than a year.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience working at PayByPhone. We are sorry to hear that you do not recommend us as a place to work. Since 2016, we have grown substantially which stems from being able to use the latest in modern cloud-based technologies, something other players do not necessarily have in the current market. Along with the introduction of new technologies, we encourage all our PayByPhoners to collaborate and learn from each other; building stronger relationships and providing more opportunities to grow their skillset. Over the past year, we have also introduced leadership development programs and skills training courses and workshops. We want to ensure we provide training resources and help our employees become exceptional leaders; however, transformation occurs in phases and takes time. We will continue to invest our efforts in making these improvements and are excited to see the direction we are headed in. Lewisa Anciano, VP, Global HR at PayByPhone

Pros

Still some great people. good place to be if you like the MS .net / C# based stack. Some leanings towards polyglotism.

Cons

No direction, focused on keeping current business and products afloat. Current owning company is not capable of providing direction or any value. Last good manager has left.
