      Pros

      Payments is an interesting space to be in PayPal is still growing. Salaries are decent and hours are reasonable in most roles Some teams within PayPal are high quality, such as risk management

      Cons

      For a 'tech' company it is very slow-moving and bureaucratic CEO has a nice 5 year vision, but there isn't a clear plan of how they will get there Lots of politics and constant organizational changes which go round in circles Not many high performers across the business, including at the leadership level Doesn't feel very meritocratic - career progress more dependent on who shouts the loudest and whether your boss is in favor

We started revising the performance management process during last years’ focal review. Changes will continue throughout 2016 as we strive to hire, develop and retain high performers in all parts of the business. We’re investing a lot in learning to help build leadership capability and continue to skill our employees to work with the latest technologies. Your note on tech debt is well taken, as it is a difficult balance to retire debt while constantly striving to deliver innovative payments solutions for our customers. I’ll share this comment with the tech leadership as a reminder of the importance cleaning up our code base.

      Pros

      Facility equipment and activities (The Gym, The basketball and volleyball court, etc,), Work space was huge not just a simple cubicle (a lot of room to make it your own), the Trainers and Mentors were beyond awesome

      Cons

      It's too easy to get in trouble or be written up, the supervisors are puppets to the managers, the stats they expect you to be at are dang near impossible for some people to reach and that results in write ups.
