Pros

-Pay is pretty good for the area (OKC/DFW) -Company sponsored health insurance ($1 / pay period) -Coworkers are generally chill -Used to be a good place for entry level software developers to grow and learn from talented senior engineers. Unsure if that is the case anymore as all of the best mentors are too stressed or have left the company

Cons

- Insanely stressful timelines. Expected to work nights and weekends just to rush out a project that was poorly planned. - Old tech stack. Use of any artificial intelligence is essentially banned. - No opportunities to work on cloud-native applications. - Full 5 days in office, no flexibility. (All meetings are done through Zoom) - The software development office in North Texas does not have enough bathrooms for the amount of male-identifying employees. There are regularly lines of 3-4 people to use the stalls. - The culture of the software development department dramatically shifted negatively during 2025. There is a lot that could be said about this, but a prime example of this was when almost all QA were fired. This resulted in all of their responsibilities being transferred to devs while the devs were being pressured to hit unreal deadlines. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind testing my own code, but without being able to utilize artificial intelligence in a practical manner it felt impossible to both fully develop and test a feature while maintaining management's aggressive timelines.
