Not for everyone

Pros

-Great comp. Haven’t seen anything like it -Good benefits -Was in a great office with great colleagues (this matters a lot at Paycom for whether you’ll be successful or not).

Cons

This is not a one for everyone. Very heavy on metrics even if quality is poor. Lots of micro management. Always looking over your shoulder. Hugh turnover. Don’t give much time before letting someone go, which is tough for a sales role. Long hours each week. If you have a family I’d say this role would not be ideal. Lots of changes happening and seems reps and managers leaving for other opportunities elsewhere. Lots of money to be made but need to weigh the cost.

Pros

High pay potential $1 Benefits

Cons

This is the most toxic culture you could ever be a part of. Upper management and the CEO have no idea what they’re doing, all they care about is their rapidly decreasing stock price and how they can cut budgets to somehow stop that. It’s an old school sales training process with zero adaptations to current environments. If you can’t get the sales process and every part of it down perfectly, they fire you with no warning. They fired many managers in this same manner, then many more reps. Multiple reps with tenure over 10 years have either left or been fired in the past month because of how dysfunctional this organization is. The CEO decided to redesign the entire sales process on a whim because the stock price is tanking so badly instead of asking his employees on what could be improved/changed. He has no long-term vision, and since he’s the CEO, President, and Board Leader all in one, everyone is scared to speak their minds for fear of being fired. This fearmongering is passed down from him to every single other person within the organization, making it almost impossible for people to do their jobs. Reps who have been there long-term tell you to “block out the noise” when these things are happening because “it’s the only way you can do your job,” but then upper management creates these non-sensical initiatives that take hours away from your daily schedule which then limits your ability to actually get deals. It is the epitome of a churn and burn culture, they don’t care about their people, only the bottom line result.
