In the middle of transition

Pros

True health and healing is witnessed in the home setting. As an RN you develop great relationships with families over years of weekly or monthly visits. Flexible schedule and good PTO

Cons

In the process of a transition from a small family owned business model to a corporate equity firm owning the majority of the company. This transition is on going but light can be seen at the end of the tunnel.

Pros

Great coworkers & patients! Coming from a new nurse, the whole “nurses eat their young” thing was never something I had to experience with this company. There was plenty of training in the office, through online training, and friendly and helpful nurses who regularly work in the homes. The patients and their families are wonderful to work for and you learn many different skills on the job.

Cons

It can be a bit lonely not directly working with any coworkers and during NOC shifts, but there is always someone on-call if you have questions or need help. The rotating shift schedule can also be hard on sleep.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a helpful review! I have forwarded your comments regarding the rotating shifts to the Director of Nursing. If you have any further questions or comments feel free to reach out to either Karletta or me. Thanks again, and welcome to the PHS family! Kelli Ramirez HR Manager 651.789.0940

Pros

Rolling bonus based on hours worked, paid time off accrual, 401k, and decent health care and dental coverage. Electronic charting was nice.

Cons

There is a huge disconnect between field nurses and the office. When I left I felt like just another number, not a valued member of a team.

Thank you for working with us and for your review. I am disappointed to hear and sorry that your experience in the field made you feel disconnected from the rest of the team and undervalued. A connection between the office and field is something we are aware of and have been trying to improve on, but it sounds like there’s still work to do. Feeling connected and valued is important for PHS as well, and I’m sorry we weren’t able to help make that connection. Further, I appreciate your thoughts regarding our benefits. We try to provide a package that is attractive and beneficial, and I’m happy to hear that you liked it. Please contact me directly if you have further comments or ideas for improvement.
