I shared too much about my personal life, which then PHS said it affected my work. I was always the one to do "projects", always learning new job in my department, helped other coworkers (who were there longer than me).

Thank you for your 15+ years of service at PHS. I am happy you found enjoyment talking with our families, and am truly sorry you felt compared unfairly to your co-workers.
Our goal is to support our employees as best as possible, but it sounds like we we fell short.
Best of luck in your future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Kelli Ramirez

The patients, families, and field nurses are amazing people to work with.
Rewarding experience to help provide nursing services within the surrounding communities.
Cons
Negative work environment.
Poor support from upper management.
Unequal distribution of work.
Poor follow-up with department and employee concerns.
Value and support for field nurses are minimal within the internal office and need to vastly increase in order to retain employees. We have high turn over rates within the departments and this leaves families without nursing coverage.

I am a field nurse, and even though I don't spend regular time at the office, I am continually supported in the field by coworkers, Case Managers, Leadership and members of every department who are always available. There is someone on call in each department 24 hours a day.
The support started on day one with an amazing and very thorough orientation including detailed training specific to the patients I was going to be caring for. Training in the home was excellent and they made sure I was totally comfortable with the specific patient and job duties before leaving me solo, Training is ongoing with CEU opportunities available and annual competencies to assure we all stay current and are the best that we can be.
And when I do come to the office, I am welcomed and acknowledged. The atmosphere at the office is contagiously positive and energetic.
Communication is a HUGE strength as well as interdepartmental teamwork and an over-all total focus on the child as our common purpose. Best. Job. Ever!
Cons
I have yet to find a con to working for PHS!
