Pros

PSH offers a great work environment with professional, competent employees. The benefits are excellent. Many opportunities for remote work.

Cons

The pay is very good in some areas, but lacking in others. The volume of work is very high and many admin and clinical areas are short staffed.

Benefits are good, usually several shifts to choose from in the hospitals. Promote from within which is nice.

Cons

Not accommodating for personal struggles. Managers can be petty and include their personal feelings in decision making, HR is not your friend, just like anywhere else. The pay is not competitive AT ALL and they try to justify with benefits which other health systems also offer; other health systems are offering $2 to $5 more at base for pay. Cannot opt out of 5% contribution to 401K or trade it for 5% contribution to Roth IRA which feels grimey. You won't be vested into 401k for 3 years.
