Pros

Always something to do, Great chances to Grow, upper managment support is great, a lot of knowledge regarding the field you're in

Cons

A lot of hours, bare minimum on manpower, excessive tracking when technology is there, all job duties were not communicated during interview. Constant change of processes is a bit excessive

Pros

Penske name may look good on a resume someday.

Cons

Look elsewhere unless you're in management, outside sales or your rights are protected by a union. No investment in me as an employee. Management and outside sales receives bulk of the training and investment. Mediocre pay and little opportunity.

Pros

Effort = Results. The more you put into the company the more you will get out. The company is pro sales, so if you have a knack for winning new accounts this is the place to work. The exposure to a wide variety of business and industries from working at Penske as a management trainee are valuable and hard to match elsewhere, especially as a recent graduate. Penske exposes you to the consumer retail market as well as commercial business-to-business sales...it runs the gamut. At Penske you'll begin to see how product moves, and become astonished by the amount of small and large business that need trucks or maintenance services.

Cons

Truck Rental and Leasing is a 24 hour 7 day a week operation. Once you reach the level of management and in some cases sales, you are expected to answer after hour calls from Penske SOS to assist with customer breakdowns and issues. If you are opposed to working weekends, or 6 days a week this is not the company for you.
