Pros
In my role I learned how to work with a many different kinds of people there. As is common in any company and especially OCONUS, some people are easy to work with, and some not so much. Everyone I ever encountered there was good at what they did. My interactions with people at People, Technology, and Processes LLC (PTP) helped prepare me to become a better KM and make me further expand the knowledge I already had.
Cons
Working OCONUS is a very fast-paced environment as the expectation is to work 12hr shifts. I don't think I would have been able to make it if I had not had frequent R&R's as paid for by PTP. In this role I had to learn quickly how to deal with some difficult customers at times and competing contractors who often times had abrasive personalities. As long as you can focus on your job, though, you should be fine.
