No accountability from leadership.

Pros

More paid holidays than most companies Nice employee gifts for holiday Good tech equipment

Cons

Leadership uses past employees as scape goats for their shortcomings, culture of playing the blame game once those contributors are no longer around to defend themselves. Favoritism and lack of transparency among treatment of employees. Company values are surface deep.

Hi there, Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts and for the contributions you made to PerfectServe. Scapegoating is an easy trap to fall into because it allows you to shift blame—almost like an unfortunate game of hot potato. But if it becomes a regular practice to scapegoat former team members, inquiring minds will naturally wonder how challenges or problems are always conveniently the fault of people who are no longer around to offer a different version of the story. Our entire leadership team understands that scapegoating is often just a search for easy answers to difficult questions. In the competitive world of healthcare IT, that kind of behavior is not something you'll find in the longest-running or most successful businesses. We like to think our 25-year track record is evidence that PerfectServe is a resilient, forward-thinking company full of smart people who can accurately take stock of what they're doing right and what they need to do better. We welcome disagreement, and we're not afraid to make mistakes. The journey to success is not linear! Company values are a different discussion, but we can assure you that we apply them to every decision we make. One of our goals for 2023 is to make them even more visible, both internally and externally. We want everyone to have a complete understanding of the principles that guide us. Thanks again for your feedback, and best of luck in the future.

Pros

Very flexible hours and rarely work long hours A lot of holidays off Half day Fridays in summer Pay is good

Cons

Seeming reluctance to invest in their products, especially in the tech space. It seems like for every 2 people that leave we hire one replacement. While still expecting the products to be maintained and new features to be developed. Benefits are okay, but not good Rarely ever see or talk to my manager (couple times in a year), although some might see that as a pro No career/promotion plan or any real feedback about my role. Lots of tech debt and no real plan to timeline to do anything about it

Thank you for your feedback. We like your apartment analogy. Senior leaders are constantly discussing what's the right balance between innovation (the new floors) and stability (enhancing the foundation). Our customer need and expect both. In 2022, we believe we made some really good progress in both areas. As we head into 2023, we know our tech leaders are having a lot of the same discussions, and we're confident we will land on the right balance. - PerfectServe PeopleOps Team

Pros

Flexible time off with generous holidays

Cons

New management after being picked up by a firm that wanted to sell is not very good, they keep allowing attrition to happen, demotivate the employees and not seem to care. It used to be a great place to work now I am just hanging on by a thread as most everyone has left.

Hi there, First, thanks for your candid feedback. Being honest is hard sometimes, but we know the only way to make PerfectServe a better place to work is by addressing difficult questions head on. We especially value this input from someone who has been here a while. The past 12+ months have absolutely been a challenge as we—like many companies—have been impacted by what some have called the Great Resignation, The reasons have varied, but the bottom line is that attrition was higher than we've seen before and certainly higher than we'd like to see moving forward. The good news is that our top priority is finding the best talent to support PerfectServe's mission, and we've had incredible success in 2022 hiring qualified, capable new team members who are eager to help us execute our ambitious goals. We've also seen the attrition rate drop significantly this calendar year, and our entire executive team is laser focused on finding ways to keep our team members happy and engaged. Expect lots of updates on that moving forward. It's never easy seeing colleagues go, but we greatly appreciate the efforts of everybody who has been a member of the PerfectServe team over the past 25 years. We hope you feel supported (and excited) as we continue to grow our employee base with an eye toward even greater future success.
