Pros

Empowerment to bring ideas to the table and to offer feedback, wealth of knowledge and support from tenured employees, focus on transparency and consistent communication, continued efforts to foster collaboration amongst leaders and their teams.

Cons

As expected with remote work, there are hiccups within our software applications that cause systems to stop responding. Given that the business is 24/7 but the bulk of positions only work during normal business hours, it can be difficult to ensure your direct reports are receiving the necessary support while trying to maintain work-life balance.

This is some exceptionally helpful feedback! Thanks so much for taking time to write out such a thoughtful review. Optimizing for remote work has been a continuous process, so rest assured that we're always looking for ways to best support employees in this remote-first environment. And your final point about clients is EXTREMELY important—we're here because of our customers, so everything we do is through the lens of helping them achieve total success with our technology.

Hi there, Thanks for being part of the team and taking time to leave a review! We love engaged employees who want to help us make PerfectServe the best organization possible. We can't overstate how important your role is to the company. We've built the BDR function up over the past five years or so, and the work you all do to open up new opportunities has really transformed our sales operations for the better. It's definitely more of a high-touch role, but we've learned that success in this arena is the product of setting targets and sticking to them closely, which requires more consistent monitoring. We've got an experienced group of leaders who oversee the BDR team, and much of their remit involves being close mentors to folks like you who are having important conversations with prospects every day. If you ever have questions, we encourage you to chat with your leader(s) to get a better sense of what's happening and how the team operates. The importance of clear communication has been underscored many, many times since the start of the pandemic and our shift to remote-first work. The exact structure depends on the team, but across PerfectServe, most people can expect regular (perhaps weekly) one-on-one meetings with their supervisor, semi-regular (maybe once or twice a month) team and department meetings, and once-a-month all hands meetings for the entire company. The goal is to keep regular lines of communication open, whether they're between you and your supervisor, you and your team, or the PerfectServe leadership team and all of our employees. We can only succeed when everybody understands where we're at, what's important, and where we're headed, and that's why we've built so many information-sharing touch points into our regular operations. To echo what was said earlier, if ever you find yourself unclear about priorities or any other aspect of your job, your supervisor will be more than happy to chat to see how we can fill the gaps. Having questions is never a bad thing! Thanks again for all of the contributions you've made in your time at PerfectServe. - Jeff Brown, COO
