Pros

Great benefits with generous time off. Higher management is transparent about company goals and progress. Employee surveys and feedback are taken seriously and followed up on. There are kind and helpful people everywhere you look. The new employee onboarding process is terrific and slowly eases you into your role.

Cons

Poor project management tools. Documentation about applications is mostly outdated, sometimes years behind. Sales seem to be moving faster than can be kept up with. Turnover is higher than you'd like since that extra work is dispersed throughout the team with no extra help in sight. Team members had less and less time to help each other due to their own busy workload, which has been especially noticable over the last year or so. There is very little career path discussion and growth opportunities and it doesn't seem like management is interested in discussing personal growth. They will give more work even when you indicate that your workload has reached it's limit. There is little incentive to the extra work and rarely recognition for your hard work and taking on more than you can handle in a 40 hour work week.

Hi there, First, thank you for leaving this incredibly thoughtful feedback, and also for the impactful work you do for our team. Your review is yet more evidence of the wonderful people we have at PerfectServe. Second, we want to emphasize how seriously we take your feedback about workload and career development. Technical consultants are VITAL for the work we do, and that's why we decided to expand the team. We've hired two consultants recently and plan to hire a few more in the near future, so this will remain a priority as we look at how best to support our consultants and optimize their workloads. And although growth looks very different for each person, we understand that no discussion about job satisfaction is complete without covering what's next on the career path. We have so many examples of people who've grown with PerfectServe over the years, and we absolutely love rewarding our own people with opportunities to take on new responsibilities. If something feels out of alignment for you, please start a conversation with your manager. Dedicated people like you don't grow on trees, so we want to make sure your voice is heard as work continues and your team grows. Thanks again for taking the time to let us know how we're doing—this feedback is very important. We'll do everything we can to keep getting better!

Hello there! Thanks for the time you spent with us and for taking a moment to submit a review. The BDR role is absolutely critical to our sales team's success, and we're very thankful that we've got a great team of leaders in place who are happy to guide new folks when they join the team. We're generalizing a bit, but it's fair to say that most BDRs are taking on a sales role for the first time when they start. When you combine that with the fact that it's a quota-driven job by nature, it does end up being a pretty high-touch environment. But, it's for a good reason! First, the folks who lead the BDR team were once in your shoes—they know what it takes to grow and succeed in these roles. Second, the quotas aren't just there for the sake of having quotas. We've refined this sales approach over a number of years, and we've learned a lot about the kind of consistent activity that's required to bring about the greatest chance for success. It's a proven model, and we're always excited to share the methodology with new team members. We fully understand that the BDR role is not an ideal fit for everyone. We're transparent with candidates about the parameters of the role, and we firmly believe we've got all the resources in place to help people succeed when they join the team. The leaders who started as BDRs are an excellent example of how your career can progress at PerfectServe. Thanks again for everything you contributed to the company, and best of luck in your career!
