Pros

The only pro I can think of from my time employed here was the wellness reimbursement. They will cover $500 of specific expenses that prompted a healthy life. All of the other benefits they offer were industry standard. Company representatives will tell you they have the best benefits around but you drive 10 minutes in any direction and find a company with the same package. Not to say that the benefits are bad, just not as amazing as they are presented. They do offer tuition reimbursement but you have to get HR to return you email which in my case I waited for nearly 3 years and did not ever get a response. I had to pay my own tuition until I left. They sometimes give out free candy but its maybe once or twice a year.

Cons

When I worked there, HR routinely lied to incoming employees about the amount of overtime they would be required to work so that they could get more people in the door. We often had new hires that would have no clue that they would be working weekends until they started training. Starting pay is well below what other companies are offering in the area. Even with prior job experience, they only offer $16 an hour for production jobs. There are now a lot of new employers that are offering $20+ to start. It's not a vary large company so there is little room for advancement. Despite what HR will tell you, they do not have a great history of promoting from within. It has happened but do not expect much. They are far more likely to hire from the outside for any management type position. They say that they "consider their own employees first"" which may be true but in 5 years of working there it only saw maybe 4 or 5 internal promotions. Overall, the company talks a big game about how they promote a work life balance and family first culture but the reality is that only applies to those working in the corporate office. On the manufacturing side, expect to be treated pretty poorly and ignored unless you work their for 20 years. Do not waste 20 years of you life here, it's not worth it.

Pros

-hired straight out of college and got the experience needed to get a better job

Cons

-nice company to work for if you work in the offices, but if you work in production, maintenance, or technology departments you have to deal with the plant manager who is the worst boss i have ever had. I have never worked at a place where people are thrown under the bus so much and verbally abused in meetings (by the plant manager) in front of everyone. - the lower level employees for the most part are great people just doing their job, but management, VPs, and supervisors are all horrible and most have been in their position for 15+ years and do things the way they've always been done even if its wrong. - favoritism in production by management is common and people are promoted on personally relationships alone even if they are woefully unqualified. - HR was constantly losing, hiring, and losing people the entire time i was employed there, so no emails or phone calls were returned because of the revolving door of HR staff. - most equipment in production is >20 years old and is constantly breaking, leaking, and just inefficient. - management is so concerned with profit and hitting their numbers that they make "business decisions" that compromise the quality of the product -only work here if you have to and expect A LOT of forced overtime on the weekends
