Pros

Largely good people to work with. interesting projects and opportunities. Span of business should lead to good synergies and increasing cross-division co-operation leading to enhanced business.

Cons

Weak and uninspiring management. Overly reactive to a bad quarter. Very insulated teams with minimal sharing across divisions. Limited long term view and investments are given a short time to succeed.

Pros

Some really capable people. Great industry.

Cons

The environment is dismal. People's skills are completely under utilized. There is little coherence or clarity of direction. Layoffs happen every six months. It is clear that they are just shuffling assets and numbers each month to make the quarterly results. Senior managers are in a complete bubble, inaccessible, and make obscene amounts of money when compared to similar companies in the industry. I worked there for a number of years and interacted a fair bit with senior managers there. It is pretty clear that the company is operated to enrich senior managers at the expense of employees who are payed well below industry standards, are made carry way more than the norm for costs for healthcare insurance, and receive little to no investment in personal development.

Pros

18 PTO days to start vested from day one.

Cons

Health insurance stunk, I paid almost 1000 a month for my family of 3 for medical vision and dental. Company reoganized every 6 months, so mangement was constantly changing. They threaten moving several times over the last 10 years, it seems they are going to be moving out of Shelton location in the next 14 months when the lease is up. Raises came once a year in April and they were average of 3-5 percent. When moving up within the company they hold you at caps normally 5-10% and you will still be under market min. HR STINKS! They are called the revolving door, no one ever stays long enough to be of any help.
